Your first week with Gramafin

Gramafin is most useful once it reflects your actual finances. Here's a simple order to set things up in:

Log a handful of real expenses from the past few days under Expenses.

Set budgets for your top 3 or 4 spending categories under Budget.

Add your bank accounts, cash, and any credit cards under Settings.

If you invest, add your holdings under Assets & Liabilities.

After that, check your Dashboard; it pulls all of this together into one view of where you stand.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to do all of this before Gramafin is useful?

No. Even logging one expense or one bank account makes the dashboard more accurate than starting empty. Add the rest whenever you get to it.

What if I forget where I left off?

The setup checklist on your dashboard tracks exactly this, and disappears on its own once everything is done.
