Understanding your dashboard

Your dashboard is the first thing you see after logging in. It's built from four metric cards and a few widgets.

Metric cards

Net worth: total assets minus total liabilities, including credit card balances.

Spent this month: sum of expenses logged so far this calendar month.

Budget remaining: your total monthly budget minus what you've spent.

Portfolio value: combined current value of your investments and mutual funds.

Payment reminders

If any credit card has a due date within the next 7 days, or is overdue, a reminder banner appears at the top of the dashboard, sorted by urgency.

Spending by category and budget status

A donut chart breaks down this month's spending by category, and the budgets card shows how close you are to each limit.

If anything's still missing from your account, like a bank account, an expense, or an investment, a setup checklist appears near the top of the dashboard with quick links to each. It disappears on its own once everything's set up.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my net worth look different from what I expected?

It includes credit card balances as debt and only counts what you've actually entered. See “Understanding net worth” for the exact formula.

How often does the dashboard update?

Immediately. Every add, edit, or delete anywhere in the app recalculates the dashboard's numbers right away.
