Reading your budget status bars

Every budget category shows a progress bar that fills up as you spend, color-coded by how close you are to the limit:

Green: under 70% of your budget used.

Amber: between 70% and 90% used.

Red: 90% or more used, or over budget.

These same thresholds are used for credit card utilization on the Net worth page.

Frequently asked questions

Does going over budget do anything besides turn the bar red?

No automatic action is taken; it's purely a visual signal. You can still log expenses freely.
