Head to the Expenses page and fill in a description, amount, category, and date. All four are required; everything else is optional.

If you pick a bank account or credit card in the 'Account' field, that account's balance updates automatically: it goes down for a checking or savings account, and up (since credit cards track what you owe) for a credit card. Leave it as 'Cash' if the expense isn't tied to a tracked account.

You can also attach a receipt photo; tap the paperclip icon before saving.

Deleting an expense reverses whatever balance change it made, so undoing a mistake is safe.

Frequently asked questions

Can I edit an expense after saving it?

Not yet; delete it and re-add it with the correct details. Deleting reverses any balance change, so this is safe to do.

What happens if I don't pick an account?

It defaults to Cash, which never affects any bank account balance.

Is there a limit to how many expenses I can log?

No limit. Log as many as you actually spend.
