Gramafin uses eight expense categories to keep your spending organized:

Food & Dining

Transport

Utilities & Bills

Shopping

Health

Entertainment

Education

Custom, for anything that doesn't fit elsewhere

Each category has its own color, which you'll see used consistently across the expenses list, dashboard chart, and budget page.

Frequently asked questions

Can I add my own category?

Not as a named category, but Custom exists exactly for this; use the description field to note what it actually was.

Can I rename a category?

Not currently. The eight categories are fixed so the color-coding stays consistent everywhere they appear.
