Connecting Gramafin to Claude and other AI assistants

Gramafin can connect to Claude (and other AI assistants that support MCP, the Model Context Protocol) so you can ask about your finances or log things in plain language: "what's my net worth?" or "log a Rs 500 expense for lunch."
This is entirely opt-in. Nothing connects until you explicitly approve it, and you can disconnect at any time.

Head to Settings → Connected apps for the full step-by-step guide, including screenshots and answers to common questions.
Once connected, you choose what the assistant can do: read-only access (net worth, expenses, budgets) or read and write (also logging expenses and setting budgets); you decide when you approve the connection, and either can be revoked independently at any time from Settings.

Frequently asked questions
Can the assistant see my data without me approving anything?
No. It only gets access after you explicitly approve the connection and choose read-only or read-and-write.
Does this work with anything other than Claude?
Yes, any MCP-compatible client can connect using the same connector URL and approval flow.
